We have 13 Madrasas constructed in under privileged and highly populated villages of Zanzibar island. All 13 Madrasas are part of our Islamic community centres. The number of students in each centre ranges from 150 in to 600.
Our Madrasas are not aimed at substituting the government secular educational system, but are meant to complement spiritual Islamic education which is poorly taught in these schools. Students who go to government schools in the morning sessions attend our Madrasas in the afternoon, and vice-versa.
