Al Noor’s Advanced Education Programme

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will eat for life.

Our Community has so many talented youth who are academically bright and hardworking. Our Goal is to gift them education, and then seed their knowledge back into the community.

On an on-going basis we financially support our teachers pursuing higher education. Currently we have a group of 11 teachers pursuing their first degrees in different Universities in Africa majoring in different disciplines ranging from Religious studies, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Science, etc. Others are pursuing Masters and PhD. We consider them as good investment to our vision and mission. In the past many years we supported many students who are now holding high professional management positions in Multinational organisations.

Some of our students who have graduated are:

• Nassir — who graduated with an Honours Degree from Waldorf College, Forest City, Iowa USA in 2003. He is currently employed with KPMG as a IT Manager / IT Auditor.
• Aziz Said — completed his first degree as a Certified Public Accountant — CPA (T). He is currently working with Zantel (Zanzibar GSM Telecom company) as a Financial and Management Reporting Accountant and at the same time he is studying for his Masters of Business Administration in Corporate Management. Al Noor sponsored both his 1st. and 2nd. Degree.
• Andulrahim Malelemba — July 2002 — June 2006; Completed a First Degree in LLB (Degree in Law & Shariah) — A combination of Islamic Shariah and Secular Shariah (Common Law) at Zanzibar University, Tunguu, Zanzibar. Currently he is doing his Masters Degree in Human Rights at Law School “ National Law School of India University, Bangalore. ”
